david asks: (2008-08-09 18:32:30)
what is the purpose of the 2 way speaker switch? is it nesicary for the speakers to operate?
Chris says:
The 2 way speaker switch allows you to easily connect 2 sets of speakers to the same amplifier and switch them on/off independently, for example if you want to use the speakers with an existing Hi-FI, but don't always want the sound going to both sets of speakers. It also helps to correct the problems associated with poor impedance matching which may occur when you connect more than a single pair of speakers to an amplifier.
It is not necessary, however we would recommend using a speaker switch if you are connecting more than one set of speakers to your amplifier.

Do brackets come with this pack or are they to be purchased separately?
Chris says:
Metal U brackets are included as part of the speaker, and will be suitable for most installations. Ball-joint brackets are available separately if you require them.

Will speakers plug straight into audio jacks at back of t.v. so I can listen to music channels outside I have no audio system or suround sound system
Chris says:
You need to connect these speakers to an amplifier. Some televisions (usually those with external speakers) do have a built in amplifier, however most don't. You would need an amplifier to connect to a line or headphone level output source.

I have sky t.v. and sky plus box no hi fi or sound system. Will speakers plug straight into audio jacks at back of t.v.so I can listen to sky music channels outside
Chris says:
A sky box does not have a built-in amplifier. You would have to connect an amplifier in order to connect a set of speakers to an output on your Sky box.
