The speakers are designed to be left outside in all weather. it is not recommended that the speaker drivers be pointed upwards, as water can gather on the cones and deteriorate sound quality.

I can confirm these speakers are priced as a single unit. All our speakers on our website that come in pairs are priced as price per pair.
