I can't see anywhere the connection type on theses speakers. is the speaker cable included/pre attached, or will i need to purchase this seperately. If not attached, what is the connection method?
Cheers

Chris says:
The Waterproof speakers have spade terminals, so you can connect using either push-on spade connectors or solder the connection for a more permanent installation.

I'm strugling to find an amp to use with these speakers! Can you suggest any that will work?
|
|
Chris says:
You can use any hi-fi system or separates amplifier to power these speakers.
Most people just connect them as a second set to their existing Hi-Fi system. Using a speaker switch would enable you to switch off the speakers when they are not in use.

Steve Sharpe asks: (2008-07-09 15:21:51)
Doe you sell an amplifier that would help?
|
|
Chris says:
We do not sell amplifiers. We do stock DAB Hi-Fi systems which could be used. See aqudos.com for our full range of products.

Steve Sharpe asks: (2008-07-09 13:06:48)
I want to link these to a system that is 25rms rated. Would this work?
The system comes with a 15w subwoofer and two 5w seperate speakers.
Thanks
Steve

Chris says:
A system which is only powering 5w speakers may not be powerful enough to drive these speakers. As a result, you are likely to find that these speakers are quieter than the existing ones with the system at the same volume level. We would recommend using an amp which provides output to the speakers at around 15W RMS per channel with these speakers.

peggy asks: (2007-11-18 19:03:32)
How much recess space do I need? I have a ceiling void of up to 7cms, would that be enough?
|
|
Chris says:
The mounting depth from the surface is 37mm. You can see the full dimensions on the data sheet which can be found on the full details tab.

afroditi asks: (2007-11-12 14:16:49)
My electrician has connected these (chased in wall with standard speaker cable) but when I connect to the amplifier no sound comes out.
he said he has connected a pair of them but only with a single cable, therefore mono rather than stereo. Can you guess where the mistake could be?
Do you have assembly/wiring instructions?
|
|
Chris says:
I could guess, however without more information, it would be difficult to be accurate. Please e-mail us with as much infomation as possible about your setup. We would at least need to know the wattage of your amp, whether you have the speakers connected in series or parallel and details of any other speakers or other devices you may have connected to the speaker outputs of your amp. Other infomation like the make/model of your amp, type of speaker cable used and length of the cable run would help.

Jonathan Myers asks: (2007-09-04 13:38:43)
can these speakers be used with an ipod?
thanks

|
Nigel says:
Not directly, you need a separate source to power the speakers.
