Will pregunta: (2010-04-10 20:47:39)
I have recently purchased a set of these speakers and whilst the speakers connect to the transmitter and work there is a constant interference sound that is also present (and annoying). I sent the previous set back to the shop I purchased them from for the same reason. Why is this happening? |
|
Nigel comenta:
You may have a faulty power adaptor for the transmitter, please contact us on 0161 611 7174 and we can send you a replacement. |
|
Lindsay pregunta: (2009-12-12 15:49:53)
How long is the power adaptor cable length? and is the plug quite bulky? Also what is the reception like if there is not line of sight ie thru walls and floors? |
|
Chris comenta:
The power supplies have cables roughly1.2m in length. It is a plug-top power supply of medium size. Reception is not affected by walls, though the range will be reduced, depending on the material. |

russell bradburn pregunta: (2009-11-13 16:12:52)
Is it possible to connect wireless speakers to the tv and still get the sound from the tv speakers as well. I thought that if you plug into the headphone socket this will stop the sound from the tv? thanks |
|
Chris comenta:
If you plug into the headphone socket, this will usually stop the sound from the TV speakers, but if your TV has a line output on the back(not many do), or supports audio out on the SCART socket (most, but not all TV's do) you can connect the transmitter to this output without using the headphone socket, therefore without cutting the sound from the TV. |
|
Antonio Nardone pregunta: (2009-03-18 11:35:09)
I am wanting to use the speakers on a TV I have in the kitchen. The TV is a DVB-T tilevision 23. Will these speakers work and what do i need to connect to the back of the TV for the speakers to work? |
|
Chris comenta:
It would be difficult to connect the speakers directly to the TV, as (as far as we are aware) the TV does not have a headphone socket or other suitable line output. You may be able to connect them to the tv's integrated amplifier using the speaer terminals, but you would need to use a Goodmans Transmitter Mate to connect in this way.

Keith Wall pregunta: (2009-01-26 15:24:38)
I want these or the Goodmans GMR9600 for my son's birthday. Which is best? But i am not sure - will they play his ipod, (cds radio etc.) from his stereo sytsem? Will they work with anything that has a earphone connection? what is the delivery - are they available? Keith |

Richard Case pregunta: (2008-09-08 12:47:08)
Have just this morning received these speakers to my home in France. I am using battery power only for the speakers but am having very bad reception (lots of hiss), to the point where the system is unusable. The sound is like a very poor radio. The speakers are only a few meters from the transmitter and I am playing radio/music from my PC. Have tried the 3 channels and lots of scanning without success. Whats going on? |
|
Nigel comenta:
You will need to adjust the volume settings on the source to a higher output and then reduce the volume on each speaker. This should remedy your hissing sound. |
|
Rick pregunta: (2008-08-07 23:05:57)
Hello there, just a quick question! how many speakers can i attach to a transmitter... and if wantd to buy 4 speakers and two transmitters, how much would it cost me please! Cheers' |
|
Chris comenta:
Yoyu can use as many speakers as you want as long as they are within range of the transmitter.
|
|
Mark Grimbleby pregunta: (2008-06-29 14:27:10)
Just to confirm, could I connect my TV and Laptop to the same set of speakers at the same time, or would I have to manually switch between the two when I want to use them? |
|
Chris comenta:
The speakers can only be tuned in to one transmitter at a time, but you could use a second transmitter to avoid the need to unplug it each time. |
|
kevin brown pregunta: (2007-09-27 11:26:38)
i have a bose lifestyle system & generally input to it from itunes on my apple laptop. i was considering your cordless speakers as a means of listening to the same music throughout the house. I have the bose system in the lounge, was thinking of a set of wireless speakers in the bedroom, anoth set in the hall & maybe one more set. would that work well? if i was playing on the wired speakers in the lounge would the delay to the wireless ones make it sound funny? |
|
Nigel comenta:
You can use as many speakers as you want on one transmitter. As for the delay within the 30-40 metre recommended range you will not notice the difference as it is minimal. |
|
John pregunta: (2007-07-21 22:28:37)

Ray Ring pregunta: (2007-05-04 10:52:33)
Hi I received yesterday a set of Aq wireless speakers here in France. There is a problem, when they are connected to the mains adapters and turned on there is a very loud hum coming through them. The hum is constant, i.e. not dependant on how much the volume control is turned up. There is no hum using them with just the batteries. There has been no mention of hum in any of the many reviews of these speakers and I would like to know if this hum is normal. Regards Ray Ring |
|
Martin comenta:
The hum is mains noise. In some areas this is more prominent than others. It is not a fault with the speakers. The usual solution is to use a different type of power adaptor. |
|
Charles Henshaw pregunta: (2007-04-26 05:22:45)
Hi Can you please tell me the difference between the standard version and the delue version of tehe AQ Wireless speakers. I see that there is about £30 difference. Is it only the external finish? Thanks |
|
Chris comenta:
Other than the quality and style of the finish and the much wider range of colour combinations, there is no difference. |
|
Keith Pearson pregunta: (2007-04-03 17:00:07)

PETER BROWNLOW pregunta: (2007-02-21 09:07:27)
We have a Samsung LCD TV + Home Cinema dvd/cd 5-1 sytem complete but cannot put the wired rear speakers behind the seating area. If I connect the AQ speakers to this system.... 1. Will it stop sound out of ALL the 5 Samsung SPEAKERS? except the two AQ speakers to be used as rear speakers. 2. Do I need the Transmitter Mate to allow ALL the Samsung speakers to remain on when using the AQ Speakers at the rear position or do I just remove the two rear Samsung wired speakers form the system?? HELP! Thank you, Peter. |
|
Chris comenta:
answers to all your questions could be yes or no, depending on how you connect to your system.

|
Howard pregunta: (2007-02-13 17:43:07)
I don't want to replace my existing speakers or run additional speakers. I would like to use my existing mission speakers but not have the wires. Do you or are you aware of a product that will enable me to drive my existing speakers from my amp, wirelessly? |
|
Chris comenta:
This would require an amp at the speaker end of the wireless connection, you could either move the one you have, get another one, or use speakers with built-in amplifiers.
|

C. CARTER pregunta: (2007-02-12 16:50:50)
I just bought a pair and await delivery. However I want to connect to my Cambridge Audio Azur 640A Amp and not loose the sound from the main speakers irrelevant of what source (CD, DVD, TV etc). The amo has rec out and pre put, can I use those without having to buy the transmitter mate? |
|
Chris comenta:
You should be able to connect them to either pre-out or rec out, assuming they are at a line level, without the need for a Transmitter Mate. |
|
paul tranter pregunta: (2007-02-09 14:00:51)

tried to connect my wireless speakers to my bush lcd tv without success, can you help? |
|
Nigel comenta:
You need to connect via the headphone socket or the phono outputs(red/white) on the rear of the tv using the lead provided in the box. If you use the headphone socket you will lose your sound from the actual TV speakers. If you need further advice contact us on Monday 0n 0161 611 7174 |

I've just bought a new Sony LCD tv, but it's late to install some rear spekaers as the carpet has been laid down and i don't want pull it up to run the cables. Will these speakers give surround sound effect when watching movies? Many Thanks Dilip |
|
Chris comenta:
These speakers would have to be connected to the surround outputs of your TV/Hi-Fi/Surround Decoder to give true surround sound. They can be connected to a line or Pre-amp output for the relevant surround channels. |

Jo Cooper pregunta: (2006-12-08 00:04:09)
Another possibly dumb Q... When plugging these in, will it stop the sound coming from the original source (DAB Radio) |

Pam Penfold pregunta: (2006-12-04 21:00:24)
We have a Sony digital tv model no: KD-28DL11U that we have been trying to connect wireless speakers to with no luck. The 3.5mm jack supplied with the transmitter on the set that we had seemed to large for the connection on the tv, is there any solution or are we doomed never to enjoy surround sound? |
|
Chris comenta:
Having checked the specification, I am unable to find anything that would stop these speakers being connected, either to the headphone socket, which would cut off the sound from the TV, or, if there is a line output, via the included adaptor.

Sara pregunta: (2006-12-01 15:52:20)
I'm hoping to replace the rear speakers from my TV with wireless speakers so that I don't have to run wires under the carpet. Will these do the job? Thanks |

Mark Douglas pregunta: (2006-11-25 17:53:14)
I would like to replace my 2 wired rear speakers for my surround sound system, but am concerned that the wires speakers won't 'balance' with the rest of the system. My current speakers say "Impedance 8 Ohms, Max Power Input 100W". Will these wiresless speakers be powerful enough as a replacement? Also, does the volumn of these speakers adjust when I change the volumn on my amp (I will be using the Goodman Transmitter Mate)? And finally, can I mount these on speaker stands or are they stand alone only? |

I an looking for new speakers, but my experience with cordless ones in the past is that the batteries do not last very long and are expensive to replace. The ones I had ate the batteries in three weeks and cost about a tenner to replace. Are these ones the same? Regards. |
|
Chris comenta:
Note that the unit itself is not capable of recharging the batteries, but it will run happily using rechargeable batteries. |
|
Nigel comenta:
From personal experience batteries last about 2 months when used on average 12-15 hours per week. There are power adaptors included and you can always use rechargeable batteries. |

|
Camilla pregunta: (2006-10-26 15:35:31)
Would these speakers be compatible to use with i tunes from a i mac? |
|
Chris comenta:
There should be no problem connecting to your iMac, simply plug the transmitter into the sound output (headphone) socket. |
|
Dave G comenta:
The speakers can be connected to any audio source via the transmitter, as long as the audio source (e:g: i mac) has a line output socket. |
|
Gordon Low pregunta: (2006-10-16 15:50:07)
Will these speakers work with samsung home cinema system. Will I need any other items to connect for this to work? Thanks, |
|
Dave G comenta:
As long as the home cinema system has a line output socket in the back of it, the transmitter (supplied with the wireless speakers), can be plugged in to the back of it. You do not need any other items to connect other than the transmitter and the wireless speakers. |
|
Caroline Albert pregunta: (2006-10-12 14:34:35)
I am interested in your AQ wireless speakers and would like to plug them in to my amp as rear speakers, it mentions I would need a speaker-to-line-level adaptor to plug them in to the speaker points. I can't find one on your website, how much are they and where can I find one? |
|
Dave G comenta:
We offer a Goodmans Transmitter Mate for £24.95 each. This will allow you to plug the speakers in to your amp as rear speakers. |
|
Rich Hunter pregunta: (2006-09-20 21:45:41)
I would like to use the speakers as replacements for my wired rear surround sound ones. Can these be used with standard amplifier speaker outputs, i.e. where normal speaker cable would be connected? |
|
Chris comenta:
To connect these to a powered amplifier output, you would need an adaptor, such as the Goodmans Transmitter Mate. |
|
Gerry Simpson pregunta: (2006-09-05 19:31:07)
Our "old" hi-fi is in a bad way and we'd like to upgrade. In addition to being able to play from the PC and iPod, we still would like to play some old vinyl. Can we play from just a turntable? Or if we keep turntable plus old amp, can we still output to these speakers? |
|
Nigel comenta:
As long as your turntable has a headphone socket you can use the speakers. If not if there are phono output sockets on your amp this will also work. |

I would like to use these speakers to transmit music from my PC to the garden. I already have a wireless network for data. Will this cause any problems ?. |

These speakers do not operate on the 2.4GHz data network frequency, so they will not interfere with each other. |
|
Roberta Brown-Paul pregunta: (2006-08-07 16:05:45)
Hi - we already have a set of your wonderful wood speakers, and want another set for our pool room. As we live in France, I was wondering if you possibly supply the kit with continental ie. 2 pin mains plugs so we don't have to keep using adaptors? Many thanks. |
|
Chris comenta:
Hi, Unfortunately, we do not supply the kit with any other power supplies, the power supply is a standard 12 volt system, and you should be able to pick up a suitable equivalent power supply very cheaply at your local electrical retailer.
