HI am looking to purchase these to connect to my TV, does only the transmitter need to be connected to the TV? as the speakers are wireless and what is required to be connected to the mains? the transmitter or the speakers? |
|
Nigel says:
The transmitter would connect to the headphone socket or audio output on the TV, the transmitter also needs to be connected to the mains.

Steve Williams asks: (2007-10-31 16:59:14)
Will the speakers work from a wireless headphone transmitter on 863 MHz |
|
Chris says:
In most cases, yes. the speakers will receive whatever is being transmitted on the same frequency. |

I have 5.1 sourround at present and would love to make it 7.1, if I was to add 2 No. wireless speakers via a transmitter into my AMP Im assuming this is achieved.(which will be great as I want to mount these at high level in the middle of the lounge.....) |
|
Chris says:
The sound decoding used for 7.1 is different to that used in 5.1 sound, so it is not as simple as connecting extra speakers to a 5.1 amplifier.

Rob asks: (2006-12-09 13:47:35)
Can I use 2 sets of these speakers to replace my FR/FL and RR/RL wired surround sound speakers? If so, will a single transmitter suffice, or do I need 2 transmitters - one for the front pair and one for the rear pair? |
|
Nigel says:
! transmitter will do. You can buy a full set and then a n extra set without the transmitter |

nick rogers asks: (2005-12-29 19:30:44)
these look ideal for me but if I have 2 sets of speakers do I need 2 transmitter mates? Also can I have them operating at separate volumes or are they both contolled by the amplifier output? Lastly can I link them to my PC- not for network but simply line out? (sorry that's 3) |
|
Chris says:
No you only need the one transmitter mate at the HiFi end. all the speakers are independently volume adjustable and finally (3rd) the unit can operate from the PC (either headphone or line out sockets) - there- all questions answered in the affirmative. Hope that really does answer the questions - any more - no problem |

Kevin McGready asks: (2005-10-12 14:00:07)
Hi I like the idea of these extra speakers but i want to buy the Goodmans Wireless Speakers as it comes with the transmitter mate - so i can also use my existing wired speakers. SO, can i receive a signal from the Godmans transmitter on these AQ Speakers? Kev |
|
Pete says:
The AQ Wireless Speakers WILL WORK with the Goodmans Speakers - they will auto-tune into whatever frequency the Goodmans Transmitter sends out. |
